Email Permissions
When you register a new account with Linqwire.com, you are required to provide a current and active email address. You acknowledge that you are the authorized user of the email address you provide at the time of registration, or at any time during your membership in which you may change or add an email address to your account. Furthermore, you authorize Linqwire.com to send notification emails on your behalf, and
Email & Marketing Messages –
Invitation To Join Linqwire Emails - When you choose to invite one or more of your personal connections that are not already registered with Linqwrie.com to join your Linqwire.com social network, you must first connect your email contacts list, or manually submit individual emails. When you do this, you authorize Linqwire.com to send up to 3 emails over the course of 6 weeks on your behalf to such email contacts that you provide. The recipients will have the opportunity to stop receiving correspondence via the opt-out functionality contained in each email.
Scheduled currently as follows, but subject to change:
1 invitation request immediately
1 reminder email within 1 week following initial invitation request
1 final reminder 1 month following the initial reminder notification
They will stop receiving these notices in 1 of 2 ways:
1.) They accept your invitation request to join Linqwire.com or
2.) They opt out from any of the email invites.
You also acknowledge that you have authorization to send to these recipients, and that you alone assume all liability if these emails are reported as spam in any formal complaint or civil action, and that Linqwire.com assumes no liability thereof. Furthermore, you authorize Linqwire.com to send these emails on your behalf, and to use the first and last name you provided when you registered your account (and which appear on your profile to include any changes from the time of registration), your likeness and profile image within each invitation email sent to any email contact you provide to Linqwire.com. You also acknowledge that if you send any new invitations via our platform (either manually inputting a repeated email address, or sending a new invite via the email provider connection) you are re-initiating the reminder email cycle, which means that a recipient may in fact receive duplicate emails, but each cycle will not send more than 3 emails over the course of 6 weeks. So to re-iterate, if you send a new invite to an email contact, that contact will be set into a new invitation cycle which may result in more than the original 3 scheduled emails received.
When your email account is connected to Linqwire.com, our system stores your email contacts into a secured database for 2 purposes.
1.) To send the above mentioned email invitations to join your social network.
2.) To inform you when one of your email contacts has joined Linqwire.com, and to recommend joining that user’s network.
We will never send emails other than invitation emails to these recipients, or any continued correspondence without your permission. These email addresses are automatically deleted from our servers if you decide to terminate you Linqwire account.
Company Related & Non-Marketing Notification Emails – You authorize Linqwire to update you periodically of various company related changes or product offerings (including but not limited to: Emergency Notifications, Breaking News, Emergency News Alerts, Terms of Use or Privacy Policy updates, website maintenance or outages, legal notifications, new product offerings, additions to our services, new partnerships with a third party, etc) via the email address you provide during registration, or to any other email address you provide during your membership of the service. You cannot opt-out of these email notifications as long as you are a member of Linqwire.com, however you will be removed from such notifications if you delete your Linqwire.com account.
Ownership and Trademarks
Linqwire.comTM and the Web Site are owned by Linqwire, LLC. All other trademarks, product names, and company names and logos appearing on this Web Site are the property of their respective owners & any and all of their Affiliates. "Affiliates" are those persons or entities directly or indirectly controlling, controlled by, or under common control with the Company.
Proprietary Rights
You acknowledge that Linqwire.comTM contains information, data, software, photographs, graphs, videos, typefaces, graphics, music, sounds, and other material (collectively "Content") that are protected by copyrights, trademarks, or other proprietary rights, and that these rights are valid and protected in all forms, media and technologies existing now or hereinafter developed. All third-party aggregated and original content is copyrighted as a collective work under the U.S. copyright laws and held by its respective owners/creators, or other third party licensors may own a copyright in the selection, coordination, arrangement, and enhancement of such Content. Linqwire.comTM claims exclusive & indefinite ownership of all content created by it's employees, contractors, editors, contracted partnerships, or it's Affiliates, unless otherwise negotiated or stated. You may not modify, remove, delete, augment, add to, publish, transmit, participate in the transfer or sale of, create derivative works from, or in any way exploit any of the Content, in whole or in part, without expressed written permission form Linqwire of a third-party content creator. If no specific restrictions are displayed, you may in some cases, use the content only for your personal non-commercial use and make copies of select portions of the Content, provided that the copies are made only for your personal use and that you maintain any notices contained in the Content, such as all copyright notices, trademark legends, or other proprietary rights notices. User Submissions
Linqwire.comTM does not claim ownership of any Content you submit or make available for inclusion on the Web Site. However, with respect to all such Content, including, without limitation, creative ideas, suggestions, content, postings, artwork, material or other submissions whether via email, feedback, a public forum or otherwise (collectively, "User Submissions"). We'll honor the choices you make about who gets to see your information and content.
You promise to only provide information and content that you have the right to share, and that your Linqwire.com profile will be truthful.
As between you and Linqwire, LLC, you own the content and information that you submit or post to the Services and you are only granting Linqwire, LLC the following non-exclusive license: A worldwide, transferable and sublicensable right to use, copy, modify, distribute, publish, and process, information and content that you provide through our Services, without any further consent, notice and/or compensation to you or others. You and your successors assigns hereby waive any and all rights and remedies you may have against Linqwire.comTM, or its Affiliates, or any of their respective officers, directors, employees, or agents now or in the future, and hereby release Linqwire.comTM, its Affiliates, and any of their respective officers, directors, agents and employees from any and all claims, demands, actions, causes of action, damages, obligations, losses and expenses of whatever kind, (collectively "Claims") relating to providing, posting, transmitting or making available through the Web Site the User Submissions to the Company, or the Company receiving, evaluating, and utilizing the User Submissions. Termination

Non-Personally Identifiable Information:

We may share your information in a business transfer:

You cannot opt-out of Administrative Emails/Notifications. However, you have the ability to opt-out from receiving Promotional & Newsletter Emails.
You may ask to have the information on your account deleted or removed; however, we may keep track of certain information if required by law. In addition, in may be impossible for us to completely delete all of your information because we periodically back-up information. You can also request profile deletion and/or notification subscriptions to be changed by our staff at info@linqwire.com.
Security of Information:
We take security seriously and take numerous precautions to protect the security of Personally Identifiable Information. You can access your Personally Identifiable Information on our Website through a password and your email address. This password is encrypted. We recommend that you do not share your password with anyone. In addition, your Personally Identifiable Information reside on a secure server to which only select personnel and contractors have access.
Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet or any wireless network can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. Connecting Via Social Media Accounts:
If a User uses a social media account such as Facebook Connect, LinkedIn, Twitter, Tumbler, etc depending on the privacy settings that the User has set on his or her social media account, the User will be granting us access to the information accessible via that social media Account and we will access, make available and store (if applicable and as permitted by that social media company and authorized by the User via his or her social media account setting) that information so that it is available on and through the User's Account on the Website. If there is information about the User's "friends" or "followers" or people with whom the User is associated via the social media account, the information we obtain about those "friends" or "followers" or people with whom the User is associated, may also depend on the privacy settings such people have with the social media account.
